Temptation Awards Announces Nominees

LOS ANGELES — Created by the Canadian adult news outlet Temptation News, the Temptation Awards, to be held on July 29 in the Beverly Hilton hotel’s International Ballroom has released its list of nominees. The ceremony will honor both video and film achievements, along with business-focused awards.

The full list of Temptation Awards nominees can be found here.

Started a year ago in New Brunswick, Canada, Temptation News is a fan-focused publication that offers DVD reviews, interviews and adult industry news.

“It is my great joy to announce all film, video as well as the business and Internet nominees,” Temptation News CEO George Whitty said. “The competition is strong. I look forward to awards night to congratulate all winners.”

With its first-ever awards show, Temptation News also will open up a Hall of Fame. The first class of inductees are Chi Chi LaRue, Julia Ann, Janine, Jenna Jameson, Ron Jeremy, Joone, Chasey Lain, Peter North, Lexington Steele, Suze Randall, Paul Thomas and Vince Voyeur.

One of the highlights in the film and video production side is the “Best New Starlet” category, which features Joanna Angel, Brooke Haven, Sunny Lane, McKenzie Lee, Trina Michaels, Kirsten Price, Hillary Scott, Taryn Thomas, Sandee Westgate and Zero Tolerance exclusive, Courtney Cummz all vying for the top spot.

On the business and Internet side, the “Best Affiliate Program” award is expected to be hotly contested, according to Whitty. Braincash, CE Cash, Epic Cash, Pornstar Bucks, Pussy Cash, Silvercash, SpankBank/WantedList and Top Bucks have been nominated.

The show features a red carpet arrival, cocktail party, musical entertainment and a four-course meal prepared by hotel chefs. Hot Movies, E-Omega Solutions and Adult DVD Empire have signed on as corporate sponsors. XBIZ will serve as the awards show’s official media sponsor.

Wicked Pictures contract star Jessica Drake is slated to host the awards show.

Nominations for the gay categories are being tabulated by an external judging panel and will be released on July 10.
