GayVideoBox to Offer Content from Factory Videos, Blue Alley Studios

SAN FRANCISCO — Membership site GayVideoBox.com has licensed content from two local production houses — Factory Videos and Blue Alley Studios.

For GayVideoBox, which offers users gay erotic videos for a monthly fee starting at $9.95, signing the two studios came down to two factors — quality content and solid business fundamentals.

“Factory Videos and Blue Alley represent the type of studios we are looking to license content from over the long term,” GayVideoBox project manager Eddie Kreider said. “They are rock solid on the business side and produce highly erotic movies in demand by our consumers.”

According to Scott Morris, co-owner of Factory Video, consumer demand is a function of a strong relationship with the customers.

“One of the reasons for our success is we listen to our viewers and make them feel like they are a part of the company,” Morris said.

Building strong relationships with content producers is something that Kreider believes will help both the content producer and GayVideoBox grow.

“The relationships we are building with studios are mutually beneficial,” Kreider said. “We are interested in growing the business of our content providers as much as we are interested in growing our membership base.”

The site features the full range of male erotica videos in multiple categories. Users can choose to view films in low-resolution or DVD-quality resolution, if their Internet connection permits.

GayVideoBox, which launched in April, offers more than 100 DVD titles and adds a new title every other day.

GayVideoBox promotes the site through the AdultPlatform.com affiliate program, which offers 50 percent recurring revshare.
