LOS ANGELES — Porn online review site XCritic.com announced today that voting has begun for its First Annual XCritic Fan Choice Awards.
The awards honor the best in adult entertainment as decided upon by its fans. Voting in the 21 categories starts today and ends on Jan. 11.
"While there are some great adult award shows out there, which many of our writers vote in, there seems to be the need for the fan's voice to be represented," XCritic Editor Chris Thorne said.
The XCritic Fan Choice Award nominations were selected by the writers on staff at XCritic.com based on thousands of reviews posted to the site in 2012.
"The nominations were only done by the writing staff, no one who deals with advertising or studio relations in any way was allowed to contribute to the nominations," Thorne said.
"We're doing something kind of revolutionary with these awards, all the raw voting data will be posted online. You couldn't have more transparency and fairness in an awards than that."
