Industry Attorneys Walters, Silverstein Strike Of Counsel Relationship

BINGHAM FARMS, Mich., and LONGWOOD, Fla. — Attorneys Corey Silverstein and Lawrence Walters announced today that they have entered into a mutual of counsel relationship.

Walters and Silverstein will serve as of counsel to each other’s law firms in order to expand the services, resources and locales of both firms.  The of counsel relationship will permit the two firms to be able to share resources, strategies, research and experience for the benefit of all of their clients, both attorneys said.

Of counsel is often the title of an attorney who works at a law firm but is not an associate or a partner.

Walters and Silverstein — both members of FALA, or the First Amendment Lawyers Association — have worked together in the past, speaking on panels at trade shows, working as co-counsel in litigation and even working as opposing attorneys in previous matters.

Silverstein, in a statement, said the pairing makes sense.

"There are few attorneys in the adult industry that possess the 20-plus years of experience that Larry Walters does," Silverstein said. "Larry is respected by the adult industry and his colleagues and has built a practice that many lawyers could only dream of. My clients can only benefit from having Larry as a resource to my office.”

Walters, calling Silverstein "a rising star" in the field of adult entertainment law, said he was "equally happy about the new relationship."

"Corey has established a reputation as a talented lawyer who brings a high level of competence and enthusiasm to the practice," he said. "I predict that our of counsel relationship will result in a significant benefit to both our existing and our future clientele.”
