LOS ANGELES — Porn star Joanna Angel is ready to suck your soul dry in "Evil Head," a big-budget parody of the beloved 1981 Sam Raimi horror classic "Evil Dead."
"'Evil Head' is by far the most expensive movie we have ever made,” Angel said. “I love how it turned out and I’m excited for people to see it!”
"Evil Head," like Raimi's "Evil Dead," follows a group of friends as they head off to an abandoned cabin in the woods for a weekend of fun and romance.
Things take a horrific turn when they discover and read from the "Necrocumicon," an ancient grimoire that unleashes an evil that takes over their bodies.
The Burning Angel Entertainment project reunites Angel with Doug Sakmann, director of Angel's previous porn chillers "The XXXorcist" and "Re-Penetrator."
Tommy Pistol, winner of this year's XBIZ award for Acting Performance of the Year (Taxi Driver XXX) toplines the spoof as Ash Williams, the iconic hero made famous by the groovy Bruce Campbell.
Angel stars as Ash's doomed girlfriend Linda. Danny Wilde and Kleio play lovers Scotty and Shelly. Dana DeArmond and Veruca James round out the cast.
