In addition to a premiere party, fans in attendance will have the chance to meet Buckshot Man Brian Hansen and two stars from “Big Rig” — Colby Taylor and Gus Mattox, who recently retired.
“Big Rig’ was such a great cap to my career,” Mattox said. “The movie is scorching, and the shoot itself was the best experience I had in the two years I worked in the business. So I was really pumped when Buckshot asked me to come out to San Francisco to take part in the premiere party at Powerhouse Bar.”
For Mattox, the idea of celebrating gay pride weekend in San Francisco has special meaning.
“Even though I'm a native New Yorker, gay pride in San Francisco has always been my favorite,” Mattox said. “So I'm always happy to do my part for the weekend festivities. I'm even growing back the itchy beard I wore in the movie just for the occasion. What I won't do for my art."
In addition to Mattox’s beard, Buckshot plans to bring another piece of the film to the party — the actual truck from “Big Rig.”
Buckshot will screen the movie at the June 24 event.
