Planet Earth Promotes Sam Godfrey to Operations Director

LONDON — Planet Earth Logistics has announced the promotion of Sam Godfrey to the position of operations director.

This is the second promotion in the last year for Godfrey, following her appointment as general manager of Planet Earth in May.

In addition to her responsibilities of guiding the day-to-day operations of the Planet Earth team and formalizing the company’s buying strategy, Godfrey will also be charged with the task of assisting the expansion of the business into new territories including Australia and the U.S.

“Sam has more than proven her abilities in the position of general manager and overwhelmed us with how well she has taken to the role, managing director Louise Boote said. “We consider Sam a valuable asset that is core to our business. Sam has demonstrated an aptitude for what is required in the day-to-day running of a busy office, managing and motivating a diverse team with many different skill sets. We hope to utilize these skills and apply them against our intercontinental operations.”

She added,  “As a spokesperson and main point-of-contact for our business, Sam’s networking skills have helped cement relationships with key partners in our business and she has always demonstrated an exceptional understanding of our business and the industry.

“Sam has risen to challenged that even some of the most experienced managers might struggle with, proving she is adept at raising her game whenever it has been needed. Because of this, we are confident that promoting Sam to this position is a great step for Planet Earth and will be a move that will benefit our customers for years to come.”
