NEW YORK — Ex-gay porn and fitness model Andre Barnett is the 2012 Reform Party candidate for the office of President of the United States.
Barnett, who has appeared in videos for gay bodybuilder-porn site MuscleGallery.com, received the Reform Party nomination for President of the United States on Aug. 12 at the party's National Convention in Philadelphia, PA.
Conservative and Christian, with a U.S. Army background, Barnett's agenda if elected President includes lowering the corporate tax rate to 12%, cutting foreign aid and pro-immigration programs and re-introducing prayer in schools.
"We have let big government, special interest groups, and the global elite limit the capacity of this nation to resolve the many issues we are facing today," Barnett writes on his website.
"With direct attacks on the core family unit and our faith, counterproductive economic practices causing many small businesses to fail and an educational system that confines our youth to a linear thought process, there is no way we can stabilize our economic infrastructure in this environment.
"We can still turn this situation around if we remember who we are and what really makes this country exceptional: pride in our communities, a fierce and fiery faith and an independent 'nothing-is-impossible' attitude. Get the 'elephants and the asses' mentality out of Washington and let’s get some real work done!"
