Scarlett Revell Makes Directorial Debut for Harmony Films

LOS ANGELES — Scarlett Revell is making her directorial debut for the London-based Harmony Films with “Mind Fuck,” a dark, hardcore feature starring Skin Diamond that will be released on Monday through Zero Tolerance Entertainment.

Revell gained invaluable experience during the past four years working alongside veteran adult film director Gazzman as his producer, production manager and video editor, among other duties.

“I’ve done everything on the production and post-production side and Harmony gave me the opportunity to direct this film and Gazzman encouraged me to push my limits,” Revell, a 26-year-old native of Brooklyn, N.Y., told XBIZ from her home in London.

“I’m very excited about this. I never expected to be a porn director — well I did in a way, I love sex. But especially to direct for Harmony Films which is known for its great quality in porn, I’m lucky to have a company like this behind me.”

Revell said she met Gazzman at a party in Los Angeles in 2008 and “ever since then Gazzman took me under his wing.”

“I learned everything from him. He is my mentor,” said Revell, who formerly worked as a personal banker. “I’m so happy that I met him. I’m still under his wing, but I don’t copy his style. I have my own style.”

And that style has its own distinctly hard edge to it.

“I like hard sex. I don’t do vanilla porn,” Revell continued. “When I have sex, I don’t have vanilla sex, I like to be fucked hard. I like seeing women being fucked hard and guys wanting to be fucked by these powerful women. I used to watch a lot of anal porn.”

In fact, Revell recalls how she started watching porn when she was 16, picking up her movies at a local shop.

“I used to go to this porn store, and I think [the owner] knew I was under age, but he just fancied me as a girl coming in to get porn and let me go,” Revell said. “I used to always skip to the parts I liked. I always wanted to be a porn director so I could make something that I could masturbate to and not regret spending my money on.”

Revell said the premise of “Mind Fuck” is based on Skin Diamond being stuck in a mental institution and having deranged, kinky dreams.

“In the first scene she has two nurses give her electrical stimulation to control her sexual desires,” Revell explained, adding that Diamond at one point dons a strait jacket and enjoys it.

“She’s crazy with the things she can take,” Revell said.

Diamond appears in three sex scenes: the opener with Celeste Star and Adrianna Luna; an anal scene with Prince Yahshua and another encounter with Mae Myers and Tony DeSergio. In addition, Jayden Lee performs an anal scene with Ramon Nomar, and Brooklyn Lee has a tryst with Marco Banderas to round out the action.

“I did hand-pick the cast,” Revell noted. “I picked who I knew was going to show their sexuality on camera and who I knew was going to trust me and give me what I wanted.”

Revell styles the models and even does color-correction during post-production; she does everything except hold the camera.

And the director revealed that she intends to keep her identity a mystery.

“Because I want people to pretend I can be their girlfriend or wife or anyone they can be sexually attracted to,” Revell said. “They might see me on camera, but they will never see my face. They might just see my lips and or my body. So they can pretend, they can imagine.”

Speaking of leaving things to the imagination, Revell also is keeping a low profile at the university where she currently is studying film.

“I have this secret life. I live two lives,” she joked. “I have to pretend to be straight and normal with a vanilla life at the university, but then I leave there and I have sex all around me.”

She said plans already call for her to direct three additional movies for Harmony Films in 2013. For fans interested in meeting her and seeing her in action, Revell recommended signing up for PornFilmVacations.com. All other inquiries should go to adultpress@aol.com.
