Australia's Sexpo Set to Kick Off

BRISBANE, Australia — Adult lifestyle event, Sexpo is set to kick off Aug. 2-5 in Brisbane Queensland at the Brisbane Convention and Exposition Center.

Organizers said the 2012 show be its biggest in eight years.

The event will feature the launch of the Ladies Lounge and the VIP Girl’s Night, hosted by Tottie Goldsmith that promises an array of demonstrations from exhibitors, a fashion parade, massages, and entertainment from the Bad Boys Australia.

Also on hand is a panel of female experts including Australia Sex Party leader Fiona Patten, sexologist Dr. Nikki G, and adult star Belladonna. Goodie bags and champagne will be included.

Being unveiled for the first time will be Australia’s exclusive Playroom installation from E L James book “Fifty Shades of Grey.”

Inspired by main character Christian Grey’s Red Room, organizers said the Playroom will bring the book to life.

“Whether you love it, hate it or are sick of hearing about it, we can’t deny that ‘Fifty Shades’ is doing wonders for the female sexual empowerment. It is allowing women to fantasize and explore their sexual needs, desires and boundaries. It is bringing something that normally would be seen as taboo into the mainstream and encouraging people to discuss their sexuality with their partners and friends. This is not just a matter of BDSM; this is permission for people to look outside the norm and try something a little different and new,” Dr. Nikki G said.

The show also marks Belladonna’s farewell to the Brisbane Sexpo, accompanied by adult star Alexis Texas — back by popular demand from Queensland fans.

“it has been an honor to have Belladonna back for her third and final tour of Australia. She is a true megastar and her fans in Australia and all at Sexpo will miss her greatly,” Rob Godwin, Sexpo general manager said.

Dr. Nikki G will also offer advice on how Queensland can improve its reputation as a "premiere sexy state" after disappointing and lower than average results in The Great Australian Sex Census 2011/12 despite good results for sex locations, and the highest percentage of swingers.

The show will also host an Olympic VIP bar with live big TV screen, events, prize giveaways, and limited edition Vibrating Gold VIP medals

To cap it off, Sexpo said it will be announcing plans for what it’s calling the largest joint B2C and B2B show in Australian history and the benchmark for future shows in Australia and New Zealand.
