CalExotics Reports Successful ANME

CHINO, Calif. — CalExotics has declared the recent summer edition of ANME Show a huge success.

Held at the Los Angeles Marriott Burbank Airport, July 14-16, the premier B2B industry trade show is the collaborative efforts of the five ANME Founders: California Exotic Novelties, Doc Johnson, Nasstoys, Pipedream Products and Topco Sales. This year’s show was so popular, it was completely sold out.

Susan Colvin, president and CEO of California Exotic Novelties, says, “As one of the five Founders, I can personally attest to the hard work and planning we all put into the ANME Show. It is great to be a part of this team and to be able to provide a true business-to-business environment for all members of the industry. Knowing that virtually everyone who came to the show was a qualified buyer makes all the difference, and it is one of the reasons the ANME Show is as successful as it is.”

ighlights of the show include the response to the product collections. With bright, trendy colors, boutique-style packaging, and luxurious materials, California Exotic Novelties made buyers take notice.

“The show had a very positive overall spirit. Everyone was in a good mood and had a great outlook. I didn’t hear people talking about the economy or soft sales. It was invigorating to know that our industry is as vital, optimistic and as vibrant as ever!” says Colvin.

The Body & Soul Collection, Black Label Anniversary Edition Jack Rabbits, E.V.A., Girl Next Door, Posh, and Power Stud are new collections to the company’s family of brands. Several licensed lines were enhanced as well, including: COLT, the Dr. Joel Kaplan Collection, the Dr. Laura Berman Collection and Shane’s World.

“International visitors were pleased with the multiple languages which are now available on California Exotic Novelties packaging, including: English, French, German, Spanish and Russian,” said Jackie White, vice president of sales for California Exotic Novelties. “There were truly so many outstanding points in the show, it was almost overwhelming.”

California Exotic Novelties also premiered new website enhancements, including the official rollout of the Where to Buy Section. The company’s website is also now available in over 60 different languages. Additionally it is a resource for even more plan-o-grams than ever before, with the new collections being added to the updated list, which is available to download from www.CalExotics.com under the Downloads section.

Club CalExotics was presented as one of the channels that funnels consumer traffic to the Where to Buy Section, it will soon be supported with an SEO marketing campaign, the company said.

To augment the festive environment during the ANME Show, California Exotic Novelties held a Twitter hashtag contest. Attendees of the show were invited to @CalExotics with #CENANME12 for a chance to win a new iPad. The winner of the contest was selected randomly after the show, and it is Tod Hunter.

Al Bloom, director of marketing for California Exotics Novelties, says, “As our electronic touch-point with our customers and the public, the CalExotics website is a crucial component in our marketing arsenal. You’ll see a lot more happening in the future!”

“It is important to point out that Val Jones is the person who coordinates the show, and she once again did an outstanding job,” says Colvin. “Also a big ‘thank you’ to Kris and Lacy from StorErotica for putting on a great awards show. It was fun seeing everyone honored.”
