Adam & Eve Offers Franchising for New York

HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. — Adult retailer Adam & Eve, in its bid to establish a national brick-and-mortar presence, has announced plans to sell franchises in New York state.

According to Marcus Goswick, operations manager for Adam & Eve stores, the decision to tackle the New York market was based on high demand from entrepreneurs in the area.

“Adam & Eve has received numerous inquiries about franchising opportunities in New York,” Goswick said. “We have learned what the public wants in a couples’ friendly retail store. And we are thrilled to provide New York with the same opportunities. We look forward to bringing America’s top adult catalog company to every town in the U.S.”

What began as a small North Carolina-based mail order catalog company in 1970 has grown into a vast retail store empire. Earlier this month, Adam & Eve announced the sale of franchise rights in California.

The company also has sold franchises in Massachusetts and Florida.

Adam & Eve’s retail management team will assist the franchisees with tools they need to run a successful adult business, its website says. The company will help determine store location, advise on legal issues so that local zoning laws and ordinances are adhered to, and assist with store layout and design.

Additionally, the Adam & Eve training staff will educate the owner and employees about the different types of products in the store’s inventory. In-store talent appearances also will be scheduled.

Qualified franchisees can purchase single or multiple store developments.
