According to Rob Ragan, who runs the day-to-day operations at White Tiger, the company was formed within a month after a tremendous opportunity presented itself.
“We had talked to David Adamson at D and E Productions about doing his distribution because he wanted to spend more time on producing,” Ragan told XBIZ. “He just mentioned that he knew other producers who were looking to do the same thing, so we put this together.”
Rick Warner of Surfside Films also expressed how happy his company is to have a professional distributor that will allow it to focus on production.
In short order, the newly formed White Tiger has signed D and E Productions, Surfside Studios, Pride Studios/Circle Jerk Boys, Eon Films, Daddyboy Productions, Happy Endings Studios and Seymore Dicks Presents.
With seven distinct lines, Ragan feels the company has a good take on the gay market, but he insists that the real issue above all else is quality.
“Production companies come and go over the years,” Ragan said. “The companies that last are the ones that spend extra money on things like making better content and great looking box art. That’s what’s great about these companies.”
