Colossal Rebrands Straight Line

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Deciding that dialogue was just a temporary diversion between sex scenes, Colossal Entertainment has decided to do away with it altogether. The company previously featured vignette setups for its all-sex straight titles.

Colossal’s boy/girl videos will be rebranded under the name Colossal Gonzo, beginning in late June. Since the company also produces gay and transsexual titles it wanted to create a distinct and identifiable label for its straight productions.

Formed in 2004, the company also plans to release its movies under themed series to target different niches.

“We’ve had success with our past titles, but the feedback we’ve been getting from our customers indicates they want something that goes straight to the action,” Michael Glaser, Colossal’s vice president of sales, said. “Colossal Gonzo’s titles will give what they've asked for and we’ll still cast our movies with the hottest women in adult in the highest-quality scenes.”

Just last week, Colossal announced the formation of Gay Lord Studios as a way to extend the company’s reach into the gay marketplace.

Explaining the internal rebranding of the company’s lines, Glaser said, “We basically got to a point in production where distributors couldn’t take all our titles. So it just made sense to create a new label so there would be no confusion.”

Colossal Gonzo will produce four titles per month, with Gay Lord and its transsexual division rounding out to 12 titles monthly.

“We’re looking forward to expanding our straight, tranny and gay offerings,” Glaser said. “But no matter what our customers are looking for, we’ll always provide the best adult entertainment.”
