Smash Sets Release Date for '50 Shades of Grey' Adaptation

CHATSWORTH, Calif. — Smash Pictures announced today a Sept. 20 release date for its eagerly anticipated adult adaptation of E.L. James' best-selling "Fifty Shades of Grey" book trilogy.

The studio also unveiled the film's cover (pictured), depicting star Allie Haze in the now iconic tie, mask and handcuff restraints known to "Fifty" fans worldwide.

"50 Shades: A XXX Adaptation" stars Allie Haze and Ryan Driller as college virgin Anastasia Steele and kinky billionaire Christian Grey, the young couple at the heart of James' erotic BDSM romance.

The parody, which wrapped in June, is directed by Jim Powers and costars Julia Ann as Christian's one-time sex teacher, Elena (AKA: Mrs. Robinson) and Alexis Ford as Anastasia's best friend Katherine Kavanaugh. Rounding out the cast are Johnny Castle as Elliot Grey, Logan Pierce as Boy Toy and Jazlene Jade as Leila the Sub.
