YanksCash Releases Content for PSP, iPod; Looks for Beta Testers

SAN RAFAEL, Calif. — Looking to capitalize on the trend of releasing content to play on mobile devices, YanksCash has unveiled YanksVideos.com. The website borrows content from the company’s flagship site Yanks.com and recodes the content for download on the Apple iPod or Sony PSP.

“The video content is the same as Yanks.com, just re-encoded for iPod, PSP and full-screen PC use,” YanksCash CEO Todd Spaits told XBIZ. “I would imagine in the long run this site will overtake Yanks.com, but it seemed like a better idea to maximize the newness of those formats for the moment with a new site.”

YanksVideos.com also features the popular female masturbation videos on Yanks.com encoded in high-resolution for full-screen PC viewing.

“I put up a few iPod video samples on some free sites to see how they would do, and people were writing me like crazy for more,” Spaits said. “Monthly members get access to unlimited downloads.”

YanksVideos.com acts as a separate membership site and costs $34.95 per month. The site will be updated with new content weekly.

Spaits said YanksCash is looking add content partners for the PocketGirls.com beta test and upcoming launch.

The Pocket Network, the company says, is “a comprehensive, two-pronged approach for producers of digital content to sell their content to wireless devices around the world. The Pocket Network combines a cutting-edge web to WAP solution with direct-to-consumer distribution channels. Our solution is free, sets up in minutes and will integrate seamlessly with your current sales channels.”

The Pocket Network allows content producers to create a “white label” site with a subdomain within the Pocket Network. Studios use a proprietary content-management system to create “mobile mini-magazines” that contain photos, short video clips, ringtones and wallpapers for subscribers. The network will contain both straight and gay sections.

“The truly innovative thing about the Pocket Network is that any kind of webmaster can become involved,” Spaits said. “Content providers upload their content and a link is generated for them to promote. Traffic generators and webmasters can promote any studio’s content they please because they get paid, too.”

The payout structure for the network is set up so that the content providers receive 25 percent, the traffic provider or promoting webmaster gets 25 percent and the Pocket Network keeps the remaining half.

“Right now, we’re looking for marquee studios to join this project in the beta testing phase,” Spaits said. “I’m looking to add studios that hit a lot of different niches because we plan to launch within a month, and we’d like a good variety to offer.

The service plans to launch in 11 European countries and Australia. Spaits said the company is in talks with U.S. cellular carriers as well.
