Ranked at #38, “Pirates” ranks ahead of the blockbuster film “Godzilla” and cult classic “Clerks.”
“[Pirates] is a rip-roaring swashbuckler punctuated by 10 trouser-tenting sex scenes in which Jolly Rogers get hoisted, main braces get spliced and some keels get well and truly hauled,” HCC said. “In fact [Pirates] takes adult movies to a whole new level and it’s a small wonder that ‘Pirates’ won just about every adult award going.”
HCC also complimented Digital Playground on the studio’s commitment to hi-def.
“[Digital Playground has] already given us two of the best hi-def features on disc, namely ‘Island Fever 3’ and ‘Pirates,’” the magazine said. “Technically, Digital Playground is way ahead of the competition.”

Directed by Joone, “Pirates” was co-produced and distributed by Adam & Eve. The movie, which used the part of the same set as the Johnny Depp vehicle “Pirates of the Carribean,” stars Jesse Jane, Teagan, Carmen Luvana and Janine. “Pirates” incorporated more than 300 special effects shots, an original score and Dolby 5.1 surround sound.
