Using a broadband connection and a standard computer video cable, Entice.TV consumers can watch what the company describes as “DVD-quality” video, which is fed through their high-speed connection to a TV.
Rather than streaming the videos, Entice.TV partners with studios to offer DRM-protected “channels” on the Entice.TV network, which consumers can then download and watch at their leisure.
As part of each content deal, Entice.TV offers its studio partners on-demand channels that subscribers can access anytime with the studio’s content. Additionally, through Entice.TV, studios are able to control the pricing model, which can include subscription, rental, purchase and ad-supported content.
“I really love Skye Blue’s videos,” Entice.TV President Susan Keil said of the Blue-owned Platinum Blue Pictures. “As a businesswoman, it’s always fun to work with other women in the industry. I love Platinum Blue’s variety; there are a lot of interesting locations and the movies have an incredible sense of style. We also are proud to announce that 10 more Platinum Blue titles will soon be added to the line up.”
Smash Pictures currently has four titles in rotation on the Smash channel. Its popular series “Legal Skin” is available, and “Stocking Secrets, “White Wife Black Cock,” “Down Your Throat” and “Cheating Housewives,” among other new additions, will be added soon, the company said.
“What fascinates me about this service is it doesn’t require a separate cable box,” Smash Pictures VP Stuart Wall told XBIZ. “Once you sign up, you get direct access to our porn titles for home viewing.”
New studio Sinsation Pictures produces high-end movies that mix elements of feature and gonzo. Veteran director Wesley Emerson, using multiple high-definition cameras, shot the company’s first five releases.
“ We’re very excited about Sinsation because of its hi-def content,” Keil told XBIZ. “We currently have more than 100 channels live and we’re adding new content as quickly as we can get it up.”
Keil explained that the company’s big push is for hi-def content, with the first hi-def gay title debuting on the service next week from Oh Man! Studios.
