Sex Toys Spotlighted on ‘Bethenny’ Talk Show

LOS ANGELES — Yesterday’s episode of “Bethenny” — a talk show hosted by “Real Housewives of New York” star Bethenny Frankel — was dedicated to vibrator talk.

Joined by actress Lisa Rinna and Kristen Tribby of The Pleasure Chest, the FOX network talk show discussed the history of vibrators, modern trends and featured an on-location segment inside The Pleasure Chest in West Hollywood.

The opening segment called “The Wide World of Vibrators” featured a full table display of vibrators from top manufacturers, including Doc Johnson, Jopen, OhMiBod and others. LELO’s 24-karat gold Inez vibe from the Luxe line awed the audience with its price tag, drawing comparisons to Louboutin and whether it would qualify for cash for gold trade.

When receiving the electrical shock from JOPEN’s Intensity vibe, Frankel described it as “having sex with a professional athlete.”

Susan Colvin, President and CEO of JOPEN responded to the product’s appearance on the show, saying: “We’re delighted that Intensity was featured on the show. The segment does a great job introducing women to the world of vibrators and we applaud Bethenny Frankel for making toys a topic of discussion.”

Kandi Burress of “Real Housewives of Atlanta” also appeared on the episode to discuss her Bedroom Kandi collection and the breaking down of the taboo surrounding vibrator. Her segment featured a Q & A with a male audience member named B.J., who wanted to know about male sex toys, but only after Frankel had a little fun with his name.  The audience cheered when it was announced that they would each be getting the Kandi Kisses vibe from Bedroom Kandi.
