The adoption of ePassporte comes as a response to webmaster requests for an electronic payment method. Electronic payment is especially valuable to European webmasters whose banks may charge them $20 - $40 to cash and deposit checks from the U.S.
“We take requests from our publishers seriously, and received many requests to offer a payment method other than by check,” Sarah Taylor, director of Network Services, said. “We surveyed portions of our network and ePassporte was the preferred method of payment by the majority of our publishers.”
