BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. — Wicked Pictures contract star Jessica Drake is slated to host the first-ever Temptation Awards at the Beverly Hilton on July 29. The ceremony will honor both video and film achievements, along with business-focused awards.
“We’re happy that the Temptation Awards had Jessica on the top of the list to host their first awards,” Wicked Pictures president Steve Orenstein said. “I’m confident she’ll do an amazing job for them.”
Started a year ago in New Brunswick, Canada, Temptation News is a fan-focused publication that offers DVD reviews, interviews and adult industry news.
“We were looking to have a classy mainstream style awards show and Jessica was the first name I came up with,” Temptation News founder and CEO George Whitty, told XBIZ. “She is a star in the industry and can handle the duties of hosting an awards show. She is classy and elegant with a great personality that will shine through on stage.
The show features a red carpet arrival, cocktail party, musical entertainment and a four-course meal. Hot Movies and E-Omega Solutions are on board as sponsors.
The nominations and awards are voted on by Temptation News staff and are individually judged on a numerical scale. The movies with the highest combined scores become the nominees. The staff then undertakes the same judging criteria and process to determine the winners.
Companies wishing to pre-nominate its movies for a Temptation Award can do so before the June 2 deadline. All eligible entries must have been released between April 1, 2005 and April 30, 2006.
