The company’s production of “Scenario,” starring Dani Woodward, was nominated for an adult industry award for Best Editing, which the company says was “no small feat” for a brand new studio.
“We want to be known as a fun and appealing company,” Crush Video’s producer Cristina told XBIZ. “We put a lot of work into selecting the right talent, filming them and concentrating on post production to make it all look sexy.”
Crush has released 11 titles and the studio’s next release “Alt Asia,” seeks to combine two popular niches, alt-porn and Asian erotica. The movie stars Luci Thai, Gianna Lynn, Nyomi, Kea Kulani and Loni.
“We’re very excited about our first Asian themed movie with a twist,” Cristina said. “It has a very pretty feel, but the sex is hardcore. We want to shoot videos we’re comfortable with and this is going to be an interesting video. We had a lot of fun making it.”
The idea behind producing hard-edged yet stylish adult films is to further brand the company in many different markets, Crush said.
“Getting our movies into hotels and on pay-per-view is one of our ambitions,” Cristina said. “I think if you don’t branch out that way in this business, you limit the success your company can attain.”
The company releases an average of two videos per month but is ramping up production due to its success.
Crush announced a sales promotion this week, offering a free Sony PSP to any retailer or distributor that purchases more than 200 pieces.
