Playboy Editor-in-Chief and Chief Creative Officer Hugh M. Hefner named Kara Monaco the 2006 Playmate of the Year in a media event held today at the Playboy Mansion in California, launching a national media tour. Kara’s Playmate of the Year pictorial is featured in the June issue of Playboy magazine (on newsstands and at PlayboyDigital.com May 5).
Playboy’s newest Playmate of the Year is a former cast member at the Magic Kingdom. She worked in costume and danced in parades at Disney World as seven different characters including Snow White, Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, and the Little Mermaid. Monaco was the magazine’s Miss June 2005 and is the first June Centerfold to be named Playmate of the Year.
"Video Centerfold: 2006 Playmate of the Year Kara Monaco" DVD special features include behind-the-scenes footage of her Playboy magazine photo shoot, two bonus Playmate profiles (Miss December 2005 Christine Smith and Miss October 2005 Amanda Paige), as well as a photo gallery and Playmate Data Sheet. It has an approximate running time of 90 minutes and is distributed exclusively by Image Entertainment.
