LOS ANGELES — Smash Pictures on Thursday announced a casting call for the two lead roles in its parody of the second part of the bestselling romantic trilogy, "50 Shades Darker XXX."
Smash VP Stuart Wall said auditions for the roles of Anastasia and Christian Gray would be from 1 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, May 16 at the Smash offices in Chatsworth.
Performers should email photos and arrange an acting audition starting today by contacting Stuart@smashpictures.com. Agents may also arrange to bring their talent to the office.
Wall said those performers wanting to play Anastasia must fit the role of a submissive, 20-year-old college girl. Porn newcomers are welcome. Men wishing to play the role of Gray should be between the ages of 25-35 and have acting skills.
The movie, which will be Smash's biggest feature to date, will be shot in late June by director Jim Powers.
"We’ve already received phone calls from BusinessWeek and other mainstream news media pertaining to our adult XXX romance adaption of this book," Wall said.
