LOS ANGELES — A private, industry only memorial gathering for the adult performer known as Sledge Hammer will be held this Sunday afternoon.
The event will be from 2 to 6 p.m. at an undisclosed location, director Stoney Curtis, his close friend who is organizing the get-together, said Thursday.
Fellow porn performers and any member of the adult industry who knew Sledge Hammer, aka Marland Anderson, are welcome to attend, Curtis said.

In an email announcing the gathering, Curtis said, "Anyone who was lucky enough to know this truly gentle, caring and sensitive man who would like to share a story and/or pay their respects are welcome to come by. We will provide music, non-alcoholic beverages and food.
"You are welcome to bring your own alcoholic drinks, but please show restraint. He’s in a better place looking down on us so we want to show the big guy that he had a lot more friends in the adult business than he ever realized."
Anderson passed away on April 13 at the age of 39.
