Delaware Loses MMA Bout

LOS ANGELES — Adult performer Dick Delaware, aka Aaron Brink, was defeated in a mixed-martial-arts fight on Friday night at Wild Horse Pass Casino in Chandler, Ariz.

Brink said he tapped out from a guillotine choke 2 minutes, 15 seconds into the second round of the three-round, 210-pound fight with unbeaten Phoenix native Julian Hamilton at Rage in the Cage 158.

Brink (25-22-1), who is from Huntington Beach, Calif., and fighting out of Big Bear, said that he has asked the Rage in the Cage promoters for an immediate rematch with Hamilton (7-0), the local favorite that he believes may have received hometown treatment from officials. Brink dropped Hamilton early in the first round and landed several punches to his head, and it looked as though the fight would be stopped and a technical knockout awarded to Brink.

But when the referee did stop the action, he did so in order to penalize Brink one point for hitting Hamilton behind the head, which is illegal. The halt in the action effectively saved Hamilton from being finished, Brink said.

The 37-year-old fighter/porn star said he ultimately gassed from attempting to finish the fight in the first round, and after some back and forth action in the second he succumbed to the choke.

"He took an amazing beatdown," said Brink, who was fighting for the first time in almost a year. "I hit him with over 30 strikes. I was sprinting to the finish. Anybody in their right mind would’ve stopped it because he wasn’t answering."

Brink continued, "Then I was exhausted. It was almost like he had three lives. I was fighting the athletic commission, the promotion, the referee and Hamilton."

Hamilton was not available for comment.

Brink said Hamilton was absent from the rules meeting an hour before the fight, and the promoters began looking for a replacement to step in to face him because they were concerned he was backing out. Then the first referee assigned to the bout declined because he was friends with Hamilton, according to Brink.

Still, he plans to return to the promotion to fight on May 11 against an opponent yet to be determined.

On April 24, Delaware will play the lead in Axel Braun's "This Ain't Terminator XXX 3D," in LA, as he continues his porn career that began in 2002.
