Production on Track for Mainstream Adult Web TV Network

DETROIT — Ohio-based adult retailer The Lion’s Den, a wholly owned subsidiary of LD Management, and midwestern advertising agency WCi, announced today that production is on track for the North American launch of The Experience Channel (TEC), an adult web-based TV network.

The partners said that both companies and advertisers have signed on for the new channel that will offer original programming produced by WCi.

TEC will air expert and user-generated blogs and a full retail offering beginning in the second quarter.

Shawn W. Moran, TEC President told XBIZ, “Not only are we on schedule for our secound quarter launch, we’ve also had many talks to outside interest who would like the oportunity to participate directly and/or assist with potential licensing and funding of our venture.”

The overall design of the network intends to bring the adult product industry closer to the mainstream, according to TEC. It will allow users to decide how they want to experience the site and network, based on their own comfort level and personal tastes.

The programming concepts are based on a wide variety of themes and will focus on education, inspiration, entertainment and promotion of the company’s shop-at-home services.

To support the launch of TEC, WCi is also producing several 30-second television commercials that promote the website and its TV network, each intended to reach a different demographic.

The producers said that like the web content, the commercials will be playful, casual and tasteful.
