LOS ANGELES — Only one porn BitTorrent copyright infringement suit was filed in the U.S. in the past seven days.
AF Holdings, a Nevis-based company that holds the rights to Heartbreaker Digital's "Popular Demand," has filed suit against 1,058 John Does, all alleged to have poached and traded the 2011 movie through a BitTorrent network.
"Popular Demand" offers scenes from Audrey Bitoni, Eva Angelina, Gina Lynn and Nina Mercedez, who shows off her first double penetration. Mercedez is co-owner of Heartbreaker Digital, as well as Hearbreaker Films.
The suit, filed at U.S. District Court in Washington, claims infringement damages of up to the statutory maximum of $150,000 per Doe and asks a federal judge to order ISPs to disclose user identities of the unnamed defendants.
