Gentleman's Club Expo Announces 20th Anniversary Show Details

CLEARWATER, Fla. — The 2012 Annual Gentlemen’s Club Owners Expo — which marks the 20-Year Anniversary of the industry’s annual convention and trade show — will be held August 26-29 at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.

Show producer, ED (Exotic Dancer) Publications, said this year’s convention promises to reflect the magnitude of the occasion.

“Each year the Expo has a theme, from 2008’s ‘Year of the General Manager’ theme to 2011’s ‘Generation Next’ theme,” ED publisher Don Waitt noted.

He added, “Since the upcoming Expo marks two decades of the convention, it just makes sense to go with the ‘Expo Class Reunion’ theme. By maintaining our existing base of attendees and exhibitors and then drawing in those industry pros from the past who may have been AWOL for recent shows, we expect to mix the old and the new for our largest Expo ever.”

While the 2012 Expo’s seminars, tradeshow and special events will reflect the current state of the gentlemen’s club industry; the three-day event will also salute its history, especially the industry’s evolution over the past two decades.

“As one of the few people who has attended every Gentlemen’s Club Owners Expo, I have had the rare privilege of seeing the event grow and, even more importantly, seeing the event become one of the most critical factors in protecting and shaping the future of the adult nightclub industry,” said First Amendment attorney and EXOTIC DANCER Hall of Fame member, Luke Lirot.

In addition to the seminars and workshops, the Expo will include two days of a 300-booth tradeshow with vendors showcasing their latest products and services; two evening parties that are equal parts networking and fun; and the 15th Annual ED Awards Show honoring the industry’s top adult nightclubs and entertainers.

The convention is expected to draw more than 3,000 attendees, including 1,700 club owners, general managers, and club personnel from individual clubs and club chains.

Other attendees include liquor, beer and wine distributors; food and beverage companies; club furnishings and bar products companies; attorneys, architects, club brokers and insurance specialists; and sound, lighting and staging companies.
