CHICAGO — Nominees for the 16th Annual Grabby Erotic Gay Video Awards have been announced, with COLT Studio Group leading the way with 18 nominations, including Best Gay Video for Buckshot’s “Beyond Perfect,” Best All-Sex Video for “Wide Strokes” and Best Director for Jerry Douglas.
The 2006 Grabbys will be held May 27 at The Vic Theatre and will be hosted for the 8th straight year by industry icon Chi-Chi LaRue and Chicago’s Honey West, along with stars Rod Barry, Brad Benton and Chad Hunt.
Originally, Gus Mattox also had been named a co-host but had to drop out when he was cast in a new play by Terrence McNally.
The 2006 Gabby Awards are being sponsored by CCBill, GayVN, GayHotMovies.com, Maleflixxx.tv and ID Glide. Tickets go on sale April 3.

Back again for the second year will be The Maleflixx People's Choice Award, made in conjuction with the popular video-on-demand site, which allows fans to vote for a special award from a list of Maleflixx.com’s most viewed videos for the past year.
Following the awards show will be the FanFest Post-Show Party sponsored by Gay Chicago. The party will feature raffle drawings for gift baskets from the Test Positive Award Network and an auction of briefs worn by the four Trophy Studs who will be presenting awards during the show.
