CHATSWORTH, Calif. — Girlfriends Films is donating $1,000 to the Muscular Dystrophy Association on behalf of Samantha Ryan.
The charity selection goes to honor Ryan’s father, who was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy.
“It [muscular dystrophy] has given me so much more insight into a disease so widely varied,” Ryan said. “I hope this money will play a small part in the bigger picture of finding cures or better ways for the afflicted to deal with muscular dystrophy.”
MDA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to curing muscular dystrophy through health care and support services, advocacy and education.
