HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — The X-Rated Critics Organization has announced it will be adding Best 3D Release to its categories.
"Our industry is always changing," XRCO's Dirty Bob said. "Adding an award for the Best 3D Release is something we knew we needed to do. Some of the most interesting features offered by the adult film industry are coming out in 3D.”
The number of 3D adult features has increased over the past two years and some of the biggest movies are now taking advantage of the new technology. Last year's "This Ain't Avatar XXX" from director Axel Braun and Hustler Video was just one of the 3D titles.
Earlier this year, XRCO became the first adult awards show to add a Best Parody: Comic to recognize the quality releases based on comic book and super hero characters. Both Best 3D Release and Best Parody: Comic will be added to the 28th Annual XRCO Awards Show.
