LOS ANGELES — Former adult star Sasha Grey is the center of controversy after reading books to 1st graders at a Los Angeles elementary school last week.
TMZ reported Grey's attendance and has obtained photos of her in Compton's Emerson Elementary School classroom.
Grey was participating in the Read Across America program.
In a tweet, Grey described the students as the “sweetest” ever.
According to the report, some parents are up in arms over Grey’s involvement and have complained to the PTA.
But despite the TMZ photos, a rep for the school district denies that Grey ever set foot in the classroom and told TMZ, "We have several celebrities who read to our students each year. The actress you have indicated [Sasha] was not present."
