BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — A couple who videotaped themselves having sex while skydiving has landed in some hot water with federal officials.
The Federal Aviation Administration is looking into the couple's actions to determine if the sex stunt violated any federal regulations.
Local news station KGET first reported the incident and various news agencies have since picked up the story.
The male performer, Alex Torres, is a porn star and also worked as a part time skydiving instructor at Skydive Taft. He has since been fired from the company.
The female performer, Hope Howell, is a receptionist at the company. The video, which was briefly posted online and then removed, shows the two having sex in a plane before jumping out and continuing the act in mid air.
The couple told a local news station that they did it to get the attention of Howard Stern. An FAA spokesman said any activity that could distract the pilot while he’s flying could be a violation of federal regulations.
