CHATSWORTH, Calif. — West Coast Productions on Monday announced it is adding QR codes to all its new DVD releases.
The QR Reader allows consumers to scan the barcode located on the DVD packaging with their Smartphone, leading them to the movie’s respective trailer or the West Coast company website.
“The addition of the QR reader is not only a technological advancement, it will also put a spike in DVD sales," West Coast GM Mark Duncan said.
