HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. — Adam & Eve Pictures announced its “Grindhouse XXX” double feature today.
The studio said the pair of films — “Student Assassin” and “Massacre at Pine Lake” — were inspired by the grindhouse film genre of the ‘70s and ‘80s, as well as the 2007 theatrical pairing of Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez.
Adult directors David Lord and Andre Madness team up for the movies set for release on Aug. 23.
Lord’s “Student Assassin” stars Adam & Eve contract performer Teagan Presley, while Madness’ slasher flick, “Massacre at Pine Lake” stars Alexis Ford, the studio’s other contract performer.
Madness’ film centers around horny young adults in the woods who attract bloodthirsty psychos.
The film also stars Andy San Dimas, Briana Blair, Rocco Reed, Mr. Pete, Ralph Long, Snoop, Eric Masterson, Jack Lawrence and Lee Stone.
Madness said, “I'm a fan of the grindhouse genre and was ecstatic for the opportunity to finally do a movie like this. The packaging and marketing of the movie as a double feature was brilliant. It’s a perfect time in the state of the current economy to offer fans two movies for the price of one. As for the film, nothing compares to casting Alexis Ford as your number one bad ass. She's got beauty, brains and the tools needed to kick some serious ass.”
Lord’s film follows a college student by day, who’s a killing machine by night.
The movie features Presley as a co-ed hellion bent on revenge. Searching for her girlfriend, Presley leaves a slew of bodies in her wake. The cast also stars Nina Mercedez, Britney Amber, Derrick Pierce, India Summer, Seth Gamble, Eric Masterson and more.
Lord said, “I’ve always been fascinated by the Grindhouse genre because it bends the rules of action and horror. As a filmmaker, I am expected and encouraged to go all out — the wilder and more unbelievable, the better. ‘Student Assassin’ pushes the limits and fulfills our carnal love of sex and non-stop action providing a complete entertainment experience.”
