Brisbane Sexpo Gears Up, Predicts Record Attendance

BRISBANE, Australia — Sexpo is gearing up for its Brisbane show July 21-24 with attendance on track to set an all-time record.

Event organizers said pre-show ticket sales for the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre expo are up 67 percent over last year and are expecting 2 million visitors.

A first for Brisbane this year will be the appearance of Michelle “Bombshell” McGee as the expo’s international Sexpo ambassador. McGee will be performing live each day and launching her search for a “hot Aussie bloke.”

Also launching at the show is the new Sex Maze and erotic art display by local artist Anita Pettinato

Headlining the event are Zero Tolerance adult stars Lexi Belle and Alexis Texas who will be giving Sex Seminars on tips and tricks to spice up attendees’ love lives.

This year’s show presents burlesque days, fetish displays, product demos by Sportsheets, Pjur, Lelo, Male Edge and more.

Show producers said attendees can even recycle their old adult toys and get a new Rabbit device at half price.

Other attractions include body artist Pricasso and hypnotist Mark Anthony, body painting and non-stop lap dancing and pole dancing in an inflatable “laporium.”

All four-day visitors of the show have a chance to win a new car.

Sexpo general manager Rob Godwin said he wants the event to provide a positive atmosphere. “Sexpo is not just about sex, it’s about great entertainment with an adult theme in a relaxed and fun environment. There is something for everyone at Sexpo 2011 and we are delighted to be celebrating our 2 millionth patron to Sexpo.”

Organizers said they will also be collecting for the McGrath Foundation and promoting Beyond Blue at the show.
