CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A new study from AEBN reports that lesbian-themed movies could be indicating a trend toward VOD viewers favoring all-girl features.
The company said “Lesbian Hitchiker 2," a Sweetheart Video movie directed by Nica Noelle, was the most popular feature among people who streamed VOD films, and three other lesbian-themed movies were in its June Top 10 rankings.
“It is very clear that increasingly both our men and women customers like to watch girls make love to girls,” said Jerry Anders, vice president of sales and marketing.
He added, “They also like to watch movies directed by someone who enjoys everything about sex and knows how to portray it, and Nica Noelle certainly does both.”
Two other films directed by Noelle, “The Babysitter 4” and “The Secretary,” were also among the most-watched movies by men using RealTouch, the high-tech device that lets men feel what they are watching on the screen.
A recent interview with Noelle posted on the AEBN blog said, “There’s a reason for Nica Noelle’s successful run of movies as writer, director, and occasional performer at lesbian studio Sweetheart Video, straight couples-oriented studio Sweet Sinner, and — coming soon — Sweet Sinema. Quite simply, she uses her fantasies and turn-ons for inspiration. After all, what turns you on is what you will give the most passion and imagination as a creator. We appreciate porn directors who, like Nica, listen to the rhythms of their sex drives.”
The Top 10 movies on the AEBN VOD Trend Report for June 2011 and the producing studios were: 1)“Lesbian Hitchhiker 2,” Sweetheart Video; 2) “The Babysitter 4,” Sweet Sinner; 3) “Party Hardcore 54,” Eromaxx; 4) “Anal Workout,” Elegant Angel; 5) “Secretary's Day 5,” Smash Pictures; 6) “The Secretary,” Sweet Sinner; 7) “Mother-Daughter Exchange Club 16,” Girlfriends Films; 8) “My Step Daughter Tossed My Salad 4,” Lethal Hardcore; 9) “Field of Schemes 8,” Girlfriends Films and 10) “My New White Stepdaddy 2,” Devil's Film.
Anders said he was also impressed this month with the rise of “Jerky Girls Video,” a new studio “that seems have found a successful niche with their amateur hand job videos, with two of their recent titles cracking the top 25 in June.”
Another trend of note in the June results is that for the first time since the publication of the AEBN VOD Trend Report, all movies in the Top 10 were shot in high definition.
Geographic tracking of VOD streaming indicate “horniest cities” in states that led AEBN streaming activity in June were: Connecticut: New Haven, Bridgeport and Danbury; Tennessee: Nashville, Memphis and Knoxville; Missouri: St. Louis, Kansas City and Springfield; and Oregon: Portland, Eugene and Bend.
The horniest cities in India in June were: New Delhi, Bangalore and Hyderabad.
