With a freshly inked movie production deal that calls for her to produce, direct and star in a significant amount of movies over the next year for VCA Pictures, Angel has garnered a strong following in the growing adult entertainment genre known as alt-porn.
“Joanna is a special lady and is creating some really exciting adult entertainment that combines the very essence of a rock and roll and a porn loving lifestyle," VCA’s head of sales and marketing Peter Reynolds said.
"Joanna’s Angels" was a major hit for VCA Pictures in 2005 and the highly anticipated followup Joanna’s Angels 2 is being readied for a hungry market whose appetite for anything but ‘run of the mill’ porn is well documented.
Angel’s rapid rise to alt-porn queen status began in 2002 with the launch of her website BurningAngel.com,which offers movie reviews, CD reviews, porn talk, videos and thousands of photos. After capturing national attention, she got the opportunity to work with alt-porn leader Eon McKai on a number of hit projects including the recent "Neu Wave Hookers."
"I don't do porn for the money, I do it 'cuz it's fun," Angel said.
Angel will be signing 8” by 10” glossy photos and posing for photos with her fans. Customers who purchase either "Neu Wave Hookers" or "Joanna’s Angels" will be entered into a drawing for a $100 gift card to Hustler Hollywood. "Joanna’s Angels 2" will be in stores everywhere April 4.
