HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — The wedding may be off, but the TV special about Playboy chief Hugh Hefner’s almost marriage to Crystal Harris is on — with a new “runaway bride” twist.
Hefner tweeted, "The marriage special planned for Lifetime TV is now going to have a "runaway bride" theme & will air in July."
“Marrying Hef” was originally scheduled to be filmed at the June 18 wedding until Harris hit the road. Hefner told The Hollywood Reporter that "we're not moving forward with the special."
But a new show was taped on June 22 at the Playboy mansion with two of Hefner’s ex-girlfriends. "Holly & Kendra were here today lending their emotional support as we shot for the Lifetime TV special," Hefner tweeted.
Not wasting any time sulking, Hefner is already parading around town with his new girlfriend, Shera Bechard.
“Shera is both our November 2011 Playmate & my new girlfriend,” he tweeted.
