Edward C., an officer for Dane Productions, told XBiz the one-year, exclusive deal with Pounder includes the distribution of his films and the generation of detailed monthly reports on production sales.
“Not a lot of people in the industry give reports like we do,” Edward C. said. “We have good reputation in this business and want to keep it that way. We pay when they pay.”
Pounder’s titles were formerly distributed by Lava Releasing, which announced in December it was going out of business.
“I’ve worked with Ed in the past and always have found him to be very reliable and trustworthy,” Pounder said. “When our distributor went out of business, we immediately thought of Dane to fill our distribution needs.”
Dane’s deal with Pounder includes titles such as: “Entering The Student Body,” “Hard at Work” and “Fuckin with Dave Pounder.” Dave Pounder titles through Daydream will include selections from the “Bikini Banger” series and “In The Sex Party.”
Celebrating its ten-year anniversary, Dane is best known for its “Panty World” and “University Co-ed” lines. The company also specializes in black and Spanish bilingual lines.
A former banker turned porn star, Pounder released the first title from Dave Pounder Productions in 2003. In August, Pounder was admitted to the Ph.D. program in telecommunications at Indiana University to study the social and psychological impacts of mediated sex and sexuality.
