LAS VEGAS — VCX is releasing a new updated version of the Golden Age classic, “Sex World.”
Directed and produced by Lee Roy Myers, “Sex World” is based on the classic science fiction film “West World.”
VCX owner David Sutton said the original “Sex World” was ahead of it’s time when it was first unleashed in the ‘70s and being able to introduce a revamped version to a new generation of porn fans was something the Las Vegas-based studio couldn’t pass up.
“Some time ago, Lee Roy Myers and I were talking about working on a project together,” Sutton said. “We’ve been friends for some time now and as I was reminiscing about the days when my family had started VCX, Lee Roy had mentioned to me that his favorite porn movie was ‘Sex World’ and that he had been wanting to do a modern remake of it. Once he started talking about the idea, I knew it was something we had to do. The original ‘Sex World’ is easily one of the best-selling adult films of all time. To this day, we still can’t keep it in stock.
“Now, with an updated version of ‘Sex World’ helmed by the best parody raconteur in the business leading the way, we have created a great new movie with a built-in reputation among retailers as being a must-stock item. With the great success that the original enjoyed, it just makes sense that the new ‘Sex World’ would be something that fans would be anxious to see, and based on the preliminary indications, it looks like our idea was right on target.”
