LOS ANGELES — Adult Source Media has shipped "Katy Pervy: The XXX Parody," the new spoof from Lee Roy Myers' Goodnight Media.
The movie is being rolled out just as it has picked up another endorsement. This time pop star Ke$ha, who is parodied in the movie, has given it a nod in an interview with MTV.
The film also does takesoffs of Lady Gaga, Rhianna, Snoop Dogg, Russell Brand and of course, Katy Perry.
Ke$ha said, "I love porn. I’m a big fan. Porn and pop stars make sense to go together. It’s an honor."
"Katy Pervy: The XXX Parody" has also received mainstream mentions in "USA Today," Perez Hilton, NPR and Pop Crunch. Meanwhile, the trailer on YouTube has garnered more than 200,000 hits on YouTube.
ASM VP of Sales John Amatucci said the popularity of "Katy Pervy" is not limited to just the domestic market.
“We’ve had numerous European entertainment outlets plug 'Katy Pervy' which has resulted in an unprecedented amount of attention throughout the world and a slew of orders from distributors, retailers and broadcasters," Amatucci said.
