LOS ANGELES — Adult performer Dick Delaware, aka Aaron Brink, suffered a first-round loss to Shawn Frye on Saturday night in Rage in the Cage 151 at the Wild Horse Pass Casino in Chandler, Ariz.
Delaware, who plays Electro in Axel Braun’s upcoming “Spider-man XXX,” was defeated via a submission two minutes into the opening round of the 205-pound contest.
"I got caught in a choke," Delaware told XBIZ. Frye improved his professional record to 6-6.
Delaware actually let Frye borrow a pair of gloves to fight him.
"Afterward he gave them back and said thanks," Delaware said.
The loss dropped his career MMA record to 24-21 and once again left him with an uncertain future in the fight game.
After winning on March 19 in Rage in the Cage 150, Delaware set up a pair of fights for early summer. In addition to the bout on Saturday, he had planned to meet fellow UFC veteran Kevin Randleman on June 25 at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas in the MMA Xplosion promotion.
But now he thinks he will need another fight before facing Randleman.
"I think I need another win before that fight happens," Delaware said. "I may take some time off now."
The Huntington Beach, Calif., native began his MMA career more than 11 years ago and has performed in adult movies since 2002.
