SAN DIEGO — Homegrown Video reached a milestone this week, releasing the 800th volume of its signature, self-titled series, “Homegrown Video Eight Hundred.”
Available today, the title extends what Newsweek described as “the longest running series in the history of porn."
Homegrown Video, the 2011 XBIZ Award-winning Niche Studio of the Year, has been producing authentic amateur content since 1982. The first volume in the “Homegrown Video” series was released in the spring of the same year. Originally titled “Homegrown Video A,” the company ran through the alphabet twice before recognizing the series’ ongoing success. Then it switched to numbered volumes.
“Homegrown Video Eight Hundred” features several long-time amateur submitters from around the world, from Latvia to Asia to Denver. All original fans of Homegrown, their self-shot scenes celebrate some of Homegrown’s best-known genres: anal, creampies, deep-throating, girl-girl, busty, outdoors, and facials.
"I discovered Homegrown Video in the eighties, fascinated by people creating their own homemade porn,” recalled Homegrown Video president, Farrell Timlake. “My wife and I decided to send in our own; a great way to finance more Grateful Dead shows! Little did I know that the owner of Homegrown Video would eventually ask me if I wanted to buy Homegrown... the rest is a XXX fantasy come true."
