NakedSword’s Tim Valenti Joins 2006 FSC Board

CANOGA PARK, Calif. — NakedSword President and CEO Tim Valenti has joined the Free Speech Coalition’s 2006 Board of Directors. His appointment was made by the Board to fill a vacancy following the latest round of elections.

“Mr. Valenti is a well known and respected member of the adult entertainment industry,” FSC Director Michelle Freridge said. “He brings years of executive experience to the table, as well as a proven track record as an advocate for free speech, sound business practices and all the other positive qualities that we value at FSC. He is a perfect fit.”

Valenti, a 10-year veteran of the video-on-demand market, said he is eager to help the FSC address VOD issues that face the adult industry.

“As digital media becomes the dominant mode of consumption for adult material, regulators are increasingly focusing on the bogeyman of adult online distribution,” Valenti said. “I am eager to help the Free Speech Coalition address the possibilities of the medium."

The FSC also announced its Board officers for 2006:

Chairperson: Jeffery J. Douglas, First Amendment Attorney President: Bill Murphy, Fairvilla Megastores Vice-President: Connor Young, YNOT Radio Treasurer/CFO: Nick Boyias, Marina Pacific Secretary: Mara Epstein, Jill Kelly Productions

FSC Board members serve on various committees as active participants who help develop and initiate policy, and as officers who help facilitate an efficient and responsive association. They are not compensated for the duration of their term on the Board.
