Judge OKs Corbin Fisher’s Discovery Motion Against Pirates

SAN DIEGO — Adult content studio Corbin Fisher has been given the green light to identify 59 John Does who allegedly pirated the company’s content.

Corbin Fisher has identified the IP addresses assigned to the defendants and their ISPs but seeks documents and information in order to identify the pirates, according to the complaint.

Internet Service Provider Time Warner must now pass along subpoenas to its subscribers, who can contest the requests themselves.

U.S. District Judge William Gallo gave Time Warner seven days to attempt quashing the subpoena or to notify the subscribers in question about Corbin Fisher’s investigation.

Corbin Fisher, whose parent company is Liberty Media Holdings, filed a copyright infringement complaint last September against the 59 Does.
