XBIZ LA Mix & Meet Market Offers Product Showcases, Networking

LOS ANGELES - The latest innovations in adult business products, services and solutions took center stage during XBIZ LA’s revamped Mix & Meet Market, where attendees also had the opportunity to network with industry leaders and source new leads.

The Sofitel’s Main Seminar Hall was set up like an expo, with rows of tables and aisles packed with attendees that would stop to learn about several industry-leading companies and their offerings.

The event featured close to 40 companies showcasing their goods, including 2000 Charge, Fleshlight, GTBill, Humboldt, MojoHost, OrbitalPay, Zombaio, SexGoesMobile, Reporo Limited, ASACP, DatingGold and Eurowebtainment, among many others.

Among the latest debuts was ManList.com, DatingGold's new gay dating site. DatingGold's AK said the company was so set on creating a true online gay community, it tapped industry vet Jeff Rosenberg to head up the new venture.

"The difference between ManList and other gay sites is that we tailored it from the inside out," AK said. "We brought Jeff in because he knows the business from a gay perspective."

Rosenberg added that what sets ManList apart is its gay database that's composed of real single, gay men, and in order to establish the growing community, ManList has been signing up new members for free.

"We launched last month and already it's converting very well, one in 32," Rosenberg said. "It's really neat to watch it grow."

CommerceGate also took over one of the table setups to talk to visitors about the company's soon-to-be-launched affiliate program, which is part of the payment processor's complete solution, said Nabil Kabbani, who recently joined CommerceGate as CEO Americas.

"What sets CommerceGate apart is our four pillars: Ease of Use, Security, Service and Throughout," Kabbani said.

Kabbani a vet in the billing industry with more than 20 years of experience. Coming from a mainstream background, Kabbani said he sees the online adult industry usurping many qualities typical in mainstream.

"The industry is going through a rebirth," Kabbani said. "Content providers are becoming more competitive and rolling out revolutionary new products and we at CommerceGate are devoted to figuring out solutions to best serve their new business models."

Kabbani added that joining CommerceGate has been a great experience and that he is continuously impressed with the team.

Peter of NetCash, a third party payment processing company, handed out swag and discussed the merits of his company. "We've been around for six years and we're the original anonymous biller."

The six-year-old company is preparing to launch an affiliate program this year, as well as E.U. direct pay.

Set in an intimate atmosphere, the excitement among Mix & Meet Market participants was palpable with attendees taking advantage of the platform not only to learn about the newest products and services, but also to mix and mingle with one another.

As the final informative event on the schedule for day two, XBIZ LA attendees warmed up to one another in preparation for tonight’s CE Cash-sponsored XBIZ.net Mixer, which follows.
