Del Toro will shoot four movies per month for RLD and sister company Platinum X — “all gonzo, which is what he shoots best," according to RLD/PX General Manager Ralph Ceglia.
Calling Del Toro “a true pervert,” Ceglia added, "Martin will fit right into our style of movie making. This guy eats, sleeps, drinks and pisses porn. He is perfect for RLD."
Although Del Toro made his name in adult entertainment directing lines such as Colossal Entertainment’s “Crewkake” and Smash Pictures’ “Under Pimp Arrest,” he will be originating new lines for RLD as well as taking over some titles previously handled by former RLD director Jake Malone, who recently signed an exclusive deal with Evil Angel.
Del Toro has been in the business for about five years, starting out as a camera man. He said he has shot more than 600 movies and prefers "pushing the envelope-type productions.”
"RLD is legendary and the highest class of gonzo,” Del Toro said. “I'm very happy I can unleash my dark side here.”
