According to Michael Atkins, director of marketing for NorthStar, the promotional items included in the new marketing plan will — while supplies last — include shelf talkers, trailer discs, window clings, hats, T-shirts and branded lanyards.
“There is a lot of product out there and everyone is competing for shelf space,” Atkins said. “We want to help move product and drive sales.”
Atkins said the promotional kits were put together both to promote NorthStar products, as well as show appreciation for the company’s business clientele.
“This kit has something not only for the store, but also for the employees,” Atkins said. “[The kits] will help promote the product and show our appreciation.”
Atkins said the trailer discs would be especially useful at familiarizing customers with the NorthStar line, which he hopes retailers will give to the consumers as they come in the stores and purchase product.
“2006 is really going to be a banner year for us,” Atkins said. “We want to familiarize the entire population of adult film consumers that NorthStar has arrived. “
